The police have arrested a 19-year-old woman, known as "Lady Don," for allegedly aiding in the murder of a young man in a Burger King outlet. After evading police for four months and planning to flee to the U.S. via Nepal, she was apprehended in Uttar Pradesh.
The incident occurred on June 18 in a Delhi Burger King outlet, where 26-year-old Aman June was lured into a trap by the woman. As he sat at her table, three men approached and fatally shot him. Following the murder, she reportedly fled with Aman’s phone and wallet. The killing was allegedly revenge for a 2020 gang-related incident in Haryana.
The young woman, Anu Dhankar, had established herself as a known associate in gangster Himanshu Bhau’s gang, who, from his current location in Portugal, reportedly promised her a luxurious life in the U.S. In return, she assisted in setting up the honeytrap and subsequent murder of Aman.
Following the murder, Anu abandoned her rented apartment in Delhi and constantly moved locations, spending time in cities like Chandigarh, Amritsar, and Kota to avoid arrest. During this time, Bhau allegedly provided her with funds. However, when police learned of her plan to leave the country via Nepal on October 22, they intercepted her in Lucknow and arrested her as she was preparing to cross the border.
Authorities have confirmed her involvement in other crimes, including a shooting at Mathuram Halwai in January. She now faces multiple charges as the investigation continues.
