Krishna Janmabhoomi Case: Supreme Court Extends Stay

The Supreme Court has extended the temporary stay on the Allahabad High Court's order allowing a Court Commissioner survey of the Shahi Eidgah in Mathura.

The next hearing has been scheduled for April 1, 2025, and the stay will remain in effect until then.

The dispute stems from claims by Hindu organizations that the Shahi Eidgah was built by Aurangzeb after demolishing the Krishna Janmabhoomi temple. The groups have approached local courts seeking the right to perform prayers at the site, leading the matter to the Supreme Court.
