Kharge Questions BJP's Last 11 Year Rule

Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge criticized BJP leaders, accusing them of distracting the public with provocative speeches and misinformation.

Speaking in Nagpur, Maharashtra ahead of the state assembly elections on November 20 Kharge argued that Maharashtra needs a stable government focused on development and expressed confidence in the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) coalition's chances. He questioned the BJP’s contradictory slogans on unity and division referencing statements by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Prime Minister Modi.

Kharge also accused two senior BJP leaders from Vidarbha—without naming them, but likely referring to Nitin Gadkari and Devendra Fadnavis—of failing to prevent key investments from shifting to Gujarat prioritizing their political positions over the region’s welfare. He challenged the BJP to discuss its achievements over the last 11 years asserting that the Congress has a record of 55 years of contributions for comparison.
