Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu criticized AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal, accusing him of failing to fulfill promises and misleading voters. Bittu highlighted that Kejriwal's 2022 Punjab election pledge of providing Rs 1,000 monthly to women remains unfulfilled after three years, terming it a deceitful tactic to gain votes.
He warned Delhi voters against falling for similar promises as Kejriwal now pledges Rs 2,100 monthly to Delhi women if re-elected. Calling Kejriwal's assurances empty and manipulative, Bittu urged Delhi residents not to trust him, pointing out his track record of broken promises.
The Delhi government's 2024-25 budget initially proposed Rs 1,000 per month for women, but Kejriwal recently raised the figure to Rs 2,100 as part of his election campaign. Bittu emphasized the need to avoid repeating Punjab’s experience, where women are still waiting for the financial support promised to them.
