Jaishankar Warns Bangladesh:Something Needs to Be Settled, or Else...

Indian Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar has issued a serious warning to Bangladesh, stating that the country's stance towards India has been inconsistent. He criticized the interim government in Bangladesh for trying to defame India in various ways. Jaishankar pointed out that one cannot maintain good relations with India while making contradictory statements every day.

He advised Bangladesh to clarify its position and make a decision. The ongoing attacks on minorities in Bangladesh and its internal political issues are affecting its relationship with India. Jaishankar emphasized that giving signals that could increase hostility towards India is not beneficial for Bangladesh.

Recently, Jaishankar met with Bangladesh's Foreign Minister, Dr. A. K. Abdul Momen, where he made it clear that Bangladesh should not take a soft approach towards terrorism.

It is noteworthy that after violent protests and the fall of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's government, an interim government was formed in Bangladesh. The interim government, led by Mohammad Yunus, has been acting with hostility towards India. Additionally, attacks on Hindus, who are minorities in Bangladesh, have been increasing.
