Indonesia President Likely to Be Republic Day Chief Guest

The Indian government is reportedly considering inviting Indonesia's President, Prabowo Subianto, as the chief guest for this year's Republic Day celebrations.

It is expected that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Subianto will engage in discussions to strengthen bilateral ties between the two nations during the visit. Subianto assumed office as Indonesia's President in October last year.

Last year, French President Emmanuel Macron attended the Republic Day event as the chief guest.
