The rift between INDIA bloc allies, AAP and Congress, led to BJP’s major win in the 2025 Delhi assembly elections, as noted by Shiv Sena (UBT) in Saamana. The editorial questioned the purpose of alliances when partners keep fighting each other instead of the ruling party. BJP won 48 out of 70 seats, leaving AAP with only 22, while Congress failed to win any for the third consecutive time.
The editorial blamed opposition infighting for BJP’s success in Delhi, Maharashtra, and Haryana. National Conference leader Omar Abdullah also mocked AAP and Congress for their rivalry. It further suggested that internal Congress factions might have weakened Rahul Gandhi’s leadership.
Additionally, Saamana criticized Anna Hazare for targeting Kejriwal but remaining silent on alleged corruption under Modi. The article warned that if opposition parties do not unite, they will continue aiding what it called an "autocratic rule."
