Haryana: India's Richest Woman Won Her Seat

The results for the Hisar Assembly Election are in and Savitri Jindal, recognized as India’s richest woman has claimed victory. She won by a significant margin defeating her closest rival Congress candidate Ram Niwas Rara by nearly 20,000 votes. 

According to Forbes as of September 2024 Jindal has an impressive net worth of Rs 3.65 lakh crore highlighting her influential status in both business and politics.

In this election the BJP secured wins in 3 seats and is currently leading in 46 additional seats showcasing a strong performance. Meanwhile Congress has managed to win 7 seats and is leading in 26 others. The election results reflect a competitive political landscape in Hisar with Jindal’s victory further solidifying her prominent role in the region.
