Groom At Polling Booth Became Popular

In Haryana's Kurukshetra district, a groom by name Kumar prioritized voting before his wedding. After casting his vote at the Ladwa assembly booth he emphasized the importance of not wasting votes urging everyone to exercise their right. 

Though delayed for his wedding Kumar stated that voting was more important. His mother also encouraged the public to vote in large numbers. Polling across all 90 assembly seats began with tight security and prominent early voters included Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, and Olympic medallist Manu Bhaker. 

The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is aiming for a third consecutive win in the Haryana Assembly elections while the Congress hopes to regain power after a decade. The vote counting will take place on October 8.
