A significant breakthrough has been achieved in India-China relations regarding border issues. Both nations have agreed to resume the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra in the Tibet Autonomous Region, a pilgrimage of immense spiritual significance for Hindus.
During high-level discussions between India's National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, held after a five-year hiatus, consensus was reached on six key points. Among them was the decision to reopen the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra, which has brought joy to Hindu devotees.
The talks also marked progress on other critical matters, including peace-building initiatives, water-sharing agreements, and trade relations through the Nathu La border between Sikkim and Tibet.
This development follows a period of heightened tensions, including violent clashes between the armed forces of both countries in recent years, resulting in significant casualties on both sides.
