Farmer leader Jagjit Dallewal, amidst the Delhi protests, stated today that Modi's popularity is at its peak and should be curtailed.
What exactly he said in Punjabi can be translated to, “Modi’s graph has shot up due to Ram Mandir. We have to reduce that graph. The window of opportunity is very small. We have to do just that".
The 'Delhi Chalo' march by the farmers is orchestrated solely for this purpose. It's shameful to witness how openly they state that their protest aims to diminish Modi's popularity, earned through the Ram Mandir project in Ayodhya.
The BJP's opponents in Punjab are driving this protest by fueling it. Dallewal is a well-known farmer activist and is associated with one of the 30 farmer unions in Punjab. Though he has no direct affiliation with any party, his stance is encouraged by the BJP's opponents to capitalize on the situation.
However, can this protest in Punjab truly counteract what Modi has gained through the Ram Mandir project nationwide? It's ludicrous and impractical, in fact.
