DMK MP Responds in Tamil: Couldn't Understand the Hindi Letter

A new dispute has erupted between the DMK-led Tamil Nadu government and the Central Government over the use of Hindi. DMK MP MM Abdulla criticized a response sent by Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu entirely in Hindi, stating that he could not understand a single word of it.

Abdulla had previously inquired about food quality and sanitation on trains. In response, he posted his reply in Tamil, urging the minister to communicate in English instead.

Abdulla shared the letters on social media, stating that despite repeated requests to the Railway Minister’s office to receive responses in English, communication continues in Hindi.

Abdulla clarified, "I even called the minister's office, informed them of my limited Hindi, and requested future communication in English. Yet, the letter remains in Hindi. So, I replied in Tamil to ensure the minister understands my stance."
