Dharavi's Rs 1 Lakh Crore Land To Adani?

Dharavi's Rs 1 Lakh Crore Land To Adani?

Congress MP and Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi has raised sharp allegations regarding the ongoing election in Maharashtra, focusing on Mumbai's prime real estate in Dharavi. Addressing the issue, he remarked, "Dharavi’s land in Mumbai is more valuable than gold.

It is worth Rs 1 lakh crore and is being handed over to Adani." Gandhi’s statement highlights concerns about the privatization of valuable public assets suggesting that this trend could extend further. He warned "In the coming days, they will give your steel plant as well," indicating fears of widespread transfer of public resources to private entities.

This comment aligns with Gandhi’s consistent critique of the central government and its perceived proximity to industrial magnates. The alleged privatization of Dharavi’s land—a densely populated and economically significant area—raises questions about transparency and equity in public resource allocation. His remarks reflect growing political tensions over corporate influence in state policies amidst Maharashtra's electoral battle.
