Delhi Chief Minister and AAP candidate for Kalkaji, Atishi, described the ongoing Delhi assembly elections as more than just a political contest, framing it as a battle between “good and evil” and “work versus hooliganism.” She emphasized AAP’s focus on development, stating that Delhi’s people support progress over chaos, referencing the party’s achievements in education, healthcare, and public services.
Atishi criticized the Delhi Police, accusing them of favoring the BJP during the elections. She claimed BJP officials were caught with money in Kalkaji, but the police failed to respond promptly despite the Election Commission's intervention. She urged voters to support AAP for its work in improving basic amenities like electricity, water, schools, and public transport.
Meanwhile, Delhi witnessed slow voter turnout, with just 8.10% recorded by 9 AM. North East Delhi led with 10.70%, while New Delhi lagged at 6.51%. Polling for 70 seats continues across the capital.
