The Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Rajiv Kumar has announced the schedule for Delhi Assembly elections, marking the first elections of 2025. Addressing the media at Vigyan Bhavan on Tuesday, he revealed that voting for all 70 Assembly constituencies in Delhi will take place in a single phase on February 5, 2025.
The CEC addressed concerns about voter deletions and EVM tampering, categorically denying any truth to these allegations. He reiterated that tampering with EVMs is impossible and reminded that the Supreme Court has upheld the use of EVMs for conducting elections.
The upcoming Delhi Assembly elections are expected to witness a triangular contest between AAP, BJP, and Congress, as the three major parties gear up to compete independently.
