Telangana s IT and Industries Minister, D Sridhar Babu defended the states decision to sign an MoU with Swachch Bio, a company set up by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy s brother, Anumula Jagadeeswar Reddy. The MoU signed during the CM s US visit, sparked controversy due to the company s recent establishment. Sridhar Babu emphasized that Swachch Bio s international partner, Suganit Biorenewables, has been involved in biofuel R and D for 18 years.
The investment will bring Rs 1,000 crore and create 500 jobs in Telangana. Babu dismissed criticism, stressing that any investment benefiting the state is welcome. He also highlighted the government s efforts to follow up on MoUs from the US and South Korea visits aiming to attract significant investments and job creation across Telangana.
He refuted allegations of losing Foxconn to Bengaluru explaining that different verticals have different location needs and affirmed the government's willingness to support Foxconn’s projects in Hyderabad.
