Congress Leader Believes EVMs Not Tampered

Congress MP Karti Chidambaram expressed confidence in the reliability of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) based on his experience since 2004. Speaking on the issue he stated he has neither encountered any issues nor found evidence of tampering or manipulation. “We win elections using EVMs, and we lose elections using EVMs,” he remarked underscoring his belief in their robustness.

While acknowledging differing opinions within his party Chidambaram emphasized that any doubts about EVM efficacy should be backed by scientific evidence. He maintained that without proven data suggesting manipulation his views remain unchanged.

Chidambaram’s comments come amid ongoing debates regarding the credibility of EVMs in Indian elections. He left it to others within his party who hold alternative views to substantiate their concerns. His stance reflects a pragmatic approach focusing on verifiable proof rather than speculative doubts about the election process.
