Come to Ukraine and Witness Russia’s Destruction Firsthand

Russia continues its brutal assault on Ukraine despite mounting pressure from the United States to halt the war. Ukrainian cities remain the main targets of relentless missile strikes. On Sunday, Russia launched two ballistic missiles at the northeastern Ukrainian city of Sumy, killing 34 civilians and injuring 117 others.

In response, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky made a direct appeal to former U.S. President Donald Trump, inviting him to visit Ukraine and witness the destruction Russia has unleashed. Zelensky said that such a visit would help Trump understand the reality of the devastation caused by President Vladimir Putin’s war campaign.

“Putin is trying to completely destroy our country. He has no intention of ending the war. Russia continues to violate ceasefire agreements and launch brutal attacks on us. Civilians, children, and soldiers are dying every day. Before making any decisions or starting any talks, I invite you (Trump) to come to Ukraine and see the destruction Moscow has caused with your own eyes. Visit any city that’s been attacked—you’ll understand who you’re dealing with,” Zelensky urged.

Condemning the missile strike on Sumy, Zelensky said that ordinary civilians were deliberately targeted. Dozens were killed, and numerous residential buildings, schools, and vehicles were destroyed. He called on the global community, especially the U.S. and European nations, to respond strongly.

“There can be no peace without pressure on Russia. This attack on a peaceful city devastated homes, schools, streets, and everyday life. The world must not stay silent. Russia must face global pressure for peace to be possible,” Zelensky concluded.
