Bihar CM and JDU leader Nitish Kumar has delivered a jolt to the BJP by withdrawing support to the BJP-led government in Manipur. The JD(U) has one MLA in the state.
Just days ago, the NPP, which has five seats, also withdrew its support. As a result, the NDA’s strength in the 60-seat Manipur Assembly has dropped to 45.
The BJP holds 37 seats on its own, comfortably above the majority mark of 31 required to retain power.
