Delhi Chief Minister Atishi slammed BJP leader Ramesh Bidhuri over his alleged objectionable remarks about her father. Addressing the issue, Atishi said, "My father was a lifelong teacher, dedicated to educating thousands of underprivileged children. Now 80 years old and severely unwell, he can't even walk without assistance."
Criticizing Bidhuri, she questioned, "Will you stoop to such a level for elections? Abusing an elderly man is disgraceful. I never imagined politics in this country could fall so low."
Atishi's statement highlights her outrage at the perceived personal attack and raises concerns over the declining standards of political discourse. The incident has drawn sharp criticism from various quarters, further intensifying the political tension in the capital ahead of upcoming elections.
This episode reflects growing unease over the use of personal and family-related remarks in political confrontations.
