A video from a hospital in Varanasi has gone viral on social media, showing the Chief Medical Superintendent (CMS) and nurses dancing to the song "Kati Raat Maine Kheton Mein Tu Aayi Nahin…” from the movie Stree 2. This incident, which took place at the Deendayal Upadhyay District Hospital, has sparked widespread discussion. Some are questioning the loud music played within the hospital premises, while others are raising concerns about the staff’s focus on patient care.
According to reports, this dance party was organized to celebrate the promotion of a nurse. Four staff nurses had received promotions just before Diwali, and a party was held in the hospital's seminar hall, where loud music and Bollywood and Bhojpuri songs were played. Hospital staff, including CMS Dr. Digvijay Singh, MS Dr. Prem Prakash Singh, and other medical personnel, were present and seen dancing to songs like "Sasural Genda Phool."
The viral video has drawn criticism, especially since hospitals enforce strict noise restrictions for nearby traffic, prohibiting even honking. Social media users expressed discontent, arguing that loud music and dancing inside the hospital is inappropriate and disrespectful to patients and their families.
