Arvind Kejriwal Criticizes Union Budget for ignoring 'a strict no to Billionaire loan waiver' which he proposed.
AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal expressed disappointment with the Union Budget 2025-26, stating that his proposal to end loan waivers for billionaires was ignored. In a post on X, Kejriwal highlighted that a large portion of the public exchequer is spent on these waivers, which could be better utilized to support the middle class and farmers.
"I am disappointed this was not done," Kejriwal wrote, emphasizing that redirecting these funds could significantly benefit ordinary citizens struggling with economic challenges.
He criticized the budget for failing to address key issues affecting the common man, suggesting that fiscal policies continue to favor the wealthy.
Kejriwal’s remarks add to the growing chorus of opposition leaders criticizing the budget’s focus. But on the other hand, first time the middle class people are hailing Nirmala Sitaraman, the finance minister for income tax relief.
