Humanity seems to be fading away with time. In a shocking incident from Uttar Pradesh, a moment of rage cost a young man his life. In Kanpur, a young man was brutally beaten to death by his own friends for simply asking for Rs 100 that he had earned. The victim fought for his life for nearly four months but eventually succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment. The police have registered a case and arrested one of the accused. Following the murder, tensions escalated in the area.
Incident Details
The incident took place in Shastri Nagar, under the jurisdiction of Kakadeo Police Station in Kanpur. The victim, identified as Ankit, paid a heavy price for merely asking for his due wages. According to police reports, Ankit worked as a performer in wedding processions. Every time he worked, his team would pay him a small amount.
On October 7, 2024, two of Ankit’s acquaintances, Suraj and Baba, took him to an event. After the work was completed, Ankit was promised Rs 300, but Suraj and Baba handed him only Rs 200 and asked him to leave. When Ankit insisted on receiving the remaining Rs 100, an argument broke out, leading Suraj and Baba to violently attack him. They brutally assaulted Ankit and left him with severe injuries before fleeing the scene. Locals later found Ankit in critical condition and rushed him to the hospital.
Four-Month Struggle for Survival
Ankit’s mother, who was already struggling financially, did everything she could to get her son treated. However, despite battling for nearly four months, Ankit ultimately lost his life.
After his death, the police registered a case under relevant sections. One of the accused has been arrested, while the search for the other is still ongoing. The tragic incident has left the entire area in shock, raising concerns over increasing violence and lack of humanity in society.
