BJP's Rs 18000 Promise In J&K

On Friday the BJP led by Union Home Minister Amit Shah released its manifesto for the upcoming Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections. Shah emphasized the party's commitment to keeping Jammu and Kashmir part of India, referencing historical figures and struggles.

He criticized previous governments for their appeasement policies and asserted that the period from 2014 to 2024 will be seen as a golden era for the region. Shah firmly stated that Article 370 which granted special status to Jammu and Kashmir will not be reinstated.

The BJP’s manifesto promises include Rs 18,000 annually to the eldest woman in each family under the 'Maa Samman Yojana,' two free gas cylinders per year under the Ujjwala scheme and Rs 3,000 per year for college students’ travel expenses through the Pragati Shiksha Yojana.

The party also vows to eradicate terrorism and provide tablets or laptops to students in remote areas.
