BJP Secures Delhi Throne

The battle between the BJP and AAP in Delhi has been intense. With a total of 70 assembly seats, a party needs 36 seats to claim power. BJP has now crossed the magic figure, currently leading in 42 seats, while AAP is ahead in 28 seats, and Congress in 1 seat. However, the numbers are constantly fluctuating.

At one stage, BJP led in 50 seats, while AAP was ahead in 19. Later, the gap narrowed, with BJP leading in 39 seats and AAP in 31. Given the current trend, BJP is set to reclaim the Delhi assembly after 27 years.

AAP has ruled Delhi for 10 years, and Kejriwal has been a major challenge for BJP in the capital. Determined to defeat AAP, BJP put in massive efforts, with PM Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and other senior leaders campaigning extensively. The results indicate a fierce contest between BJP and AAP.

Former CM Arvind Kejriwal is leading in New Delhi with a narrow margin. Initially, he trailed behind his BJP opponent in postal ballots, but he is slowly catching up in EVM counting. Similarly, AAP leaders like Manish Sisodia have also started gaining leads.

So far, BJP has secured 48% of the votes, while AAP holds 42%, and Congress is at 6%. Stay tuned for more updates
