Senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh has accused the BJP of playing "mind games" in Haryana during the ongoing election results. He criticized the Election Commission (EC) for not providing timely updates on the results, stating that the counting process in Haryana has been unusually erratic.
Initially, Congress showed a strong lead in the early rounds of counting, but as time progressed, the results began to fluctuate unexpectedly, with the BJP slowly gaining momentum. This sudden shift has even surprised BJP leaders.
Jairam Ramesh, while speaking to the media, expressed his concern over the delay in result updates. He pointed out that while 11 rounds of counting had been completed, the EC had only released results for four rounds. He urged Congress leaders and workers not to lose hope and to remain at the counting centers until the final result is declared.
Ramesh questioned why the Election Commission had been slow in updating the results, suggesting that their conduct was suspicious. This criticism has sparked discussions on the transparency of the election process.
Earlier in the day, Congress supporters across the country celebrated after initial rounds indicated a lead for the party in Haryana. However, the later fluctuations in results have caused growing concern among Congress workers.
