A BJP MLA from Madhya Pradesh, Pannalal Shakya made unusual remarks at the inauguration of a 'PM College of Excellence' in his Guna constituency advising students to open motorcycle puncture repair shops instead of relying on college degrees for livelihood.
This is something strange to hear this in the context of inauguration of a college. Whether the MLA made this statement as a slip of tongue or a conscious attempt is not known.
The event also saw Union Home Minister Amit Shah virtually inaugurating PM Colleges of Excellence in 55 districts of Madhya Pradesh from Indore's Atal Bihari Vajpayee Government Arts and Commerce College.
Shah emphasized Prime Minister Modi's vision and the New Education Policy (NEP) aiming to make India a developed nation by 2047.
He said that the NEP focuses on quality education aligning with international standards while preserving cultural values encouraging students to think innovatively and promoting comprehensive development.
