BJP Condemns Patole's 'Dog' Remarks

BJP leaders reacted strongly to Congress leader Nana Patole’s comments where he called BJP leaders "dogs" during an election rally in Maharashtra. BJP’s Kirit Somaiya described the remarks as a sign of frustration from the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) opposition alliance accusing them of moving from disappointment to dejection.

Patole, speaking in Akola criticized the BJP for allegedly disrespecting the OBC community further fueling tensions ahead of the November 20 Maharashtra Assembly elections.

BJP spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari condemned Patole’s words linking them to Congress’ authoritarian mindset. He also criticized Congress for using racial slurs, referencing an earlier incident involving Karnataka Congress leader Zameer Ahmed. The comments reflect the growing rivalry between MVA and the Mahayuti alliance with both sides intensifying their campaigns ahead of the elections. The MVA aims to regain power challenging the current BJP-led government in the state.
