Bhutan’s King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuk visited the Maha Kumbh 2025 on Tuesday, taking a sacred dip at the Triveni Sangam, the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and the mythical Saraswati rivers. The King also performed traditional holy rituals during his spiritual visit. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath accompanied him, highlighting the strong cultural and diplomatic ties between India and Bhutan.
The King’s participation in the Maha Kumbh, one of the world’s largest religious gatherings, underscores the event’s global significance and spiritual appeal beyond India’s borders. The visit also showcased the rich blend of tradition, faith, and international camaraderie, with dignitaries embracing India’s spiritual heritage.
