AP CM Nara Chandrababu Naidu's family is in mourning as his younger brother, former TDP MLA Nara Ramamurthy Naidu, passed away. He had been suffering from health issues for some time and breathed his last in Hyderabad on Saturday morning.
Family members confirmed that his body is being transported to his native village by a special flight from Hyderabad. Chandrababu Naidu, who was in Delhi for an official visit, canceled his schedule upon hearing the news of his brother's death and immediately left for his hometown. The last rites of Ramamurthy Naidu are scheduled to be held in their native village, Naravaripalle, on Sunday morning.
Ramamurthy Naidu served as an MLA from the Chandragiri constituency in the united Andhra Pradesh from 1994 to 1999, representing the TDP. However, he lost the 1999 assembly elections to Galla Aruna Kumari and distanced himself from politics for some time. Despite being more active in Tirupati, he never gained significant popularity within the party.
Ramamurthy Naidu’s son, Nara Rohit, is a well-known actor in Tollywood, having starred in several films. The news of Ramamurthy Naidu’s death has deeply saddened the local TDP cadre.
