Union Home Minister Amit Shah stated that any firing from across the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir will be met with bullets, not dialogue. Speaking at a BJP rally in Mendhar, Poonch, he emphasized that the era of cross-border firing is over and Pakistan now fears Prime Minister Modi. Shah urged people to support BJP candidate Murtaza Khan praising the Gujjar, Bakarwal and Pahari communities for their patriotism.
He criticized the Abdullah, Mufti, and Gandhi families for stalling democracy in J&K and highlighted the achievements of PM Modi including Panchayat elections and job opportunities for youth. Shah assured that BJP would improve infrastructure, provide healthcare benefits and extend reservations for marginalized communities. He promised to reduce electricity tariffs, provide free LPG cylinders and develop tourist spots in Poonch and Rajouri.
Shah concluded by encouraging voters to support BJP for development and prosperity in the region before heading to address more campaign rallies in Rajouri, Surankote, Thanamandi and Akhnoor.
