Union Home Minister Amit Shah criticized Congress leader Rahul Gandhi during a rally questioning if he knew the full form of MSP (Minimum Support Price) after Rahul mentioned that BJP in Haryana would procure 24 crops at MSP.
Shah mocked Rahul’s knowledge of Kharif and Rabi crops and accused him of being misinformed by an NGO to use MSP for votes. Shah challenged Congress to name any Congress-ruled state procuring as many crops at MSP, comparing prices during Congress rule to the current BJP-led government.
He promised to increase paddy procurement to Rs 3,100 per quintal if BJP is elected in Haryana. Shah further attacked Congress for corruption highlighting the BJP's achievements like One Rank One Pension and equitable development in Haryana over the past 10 years. He emphasized that BJP's governance has ended middlemen's influence and corruption unlike Congress which ran on "cut, commission and corruption." Haryana's elections will be held on October 5.
