Amazon Expands in Telangana with Rs 60,000 Crore Investment

The Davos summit has turned into a boon for Telangana as investments continue to pour in. Ten major industrial firms have signed agreements with the Revanth Reddy-led government, committing investments exceeding Rs 1.3 lakh crore.

Reports suggest that this is the highest-ever inflow of investments since the formation of the state. On Wednesday alone, deals worth over Rs 56,000 crore were finalized.

In a significant development, Amazon has agreed to invest Rs 60,000 crore in Telangana. The global giant signed an MoU with the state government to expand its data centers. Amazon had previously established three data centers in the state with an investment of $1 billion. With this new expansion, Amazon reinforces its commitment to Telangana.

Additionally, IT giant Infosys is set to expand its presence in Telangana. The company signed an MoU with the government to create 17,000 additional jobs by expanding its campus. Hyderabad continues to flourish as an IT hub, with new agreements at Davos adding to its growth momentum. This has positioned the Revanth Reddy government positively in fostering industrial growth and development.
