Shiv Kumar Gautam, the main suspect in the murder of Maharashtra politician Baba Siddique, revealed he was ordered by Anmol Bishnoi, the brother of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, to kill either Baba Siddique or his son Zeeshan. Shiv Kumar, along with his aides, was arrested in Uttar Pradesh after trying to flee to Nepal. He was one of three shooters involved in the October 12 killing outside Zeeshan’s office in Mumbai.
Shiv Kumar confessed that Bishnoi had incited him by claiming the act was for "God and society." After the murder, Shiv Kumar changed clothes and fled, traveling through several cities before being tracked down by police.
The authorities traced his contacts and arrested him in Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh, along with four others who helped him escape. The murder appears linked to a dispute involving actor Salman Khan and the Bishnoi community’s protection of blackbucks.
