AAP Withdraws from Maharashtra Polls, Kejriwal to Support Allies

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has decided not to contest the upcoming Maharashtra Assembly elections. Instead, AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal will be campaigning for the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) alliance, comprising Shiv Sena (UBT) led by Uddhav Thackeray, NCP-SP under Sharad Pawar, and the Congress. This announcement was made by AAP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh on Saturday, confirming that Kejriwal will support MVA candidates in Maharashtra.

AAP sources have indicated that Shiv Sena (UBT) and NCP-SP had approached Kejriwal for his support in their election efforts. Additionally, Kejriwal is expected to campaign on behalf of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) in the upcoming Jharkhand elections, backing Chief Minister Hemant Soren's party.

Polling for Maharashtra’s 288 assembly seats will be held on November 20, while Jharkhand will conduct its elections in two phases on November 13 and 20, with both states’ results scheduled for November 23.
