450 Million Devotees Take Holy Dip in Maha Kumbh Mela

The Maha Kumbh Mela at Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, is witnessing an overwhelming influx of devotees. Millions are gathering at the sacred Triveni Sangam, where the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers converge, to take a holy dip.

The grand event, which commenced on January 13, is set to conclude on February 26. With just 16 days left, the number of pilgrims has surged significantly. As per the latest announcement by the Uttar Pradesh government, nearly 7.5 million devotees took a dip in the holy waters by 10 AM today. Since the beginning of the Maha Kumbh Mela, a staggering 450 million pilgrims have participated in the sacred ritual at Triveni Sangam.

Special Arrangements for Devotees

The Maha Kumbh Mela, which spans 45 days, is expected to draw 550 million devotees from across the world by the time it concludes on Maha Shivaratri, February 26. In anticipation of this massive turnout, the Uttar Pradesh government has made extensive arrangements to facilitate the smooth conduct of this spiritual gathering.
