1.74 Crore Devotees Take Holy Dip in a Single Day

The Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, continues to witness massive crowds of devotees.

Officials reported that over 1.74 crore people participated in the holy dip at the Triveni Sangam in a single day yesterday. This brings the total number of devotees who have taken the sacred bath so far to over 13.21 crore.

Authorities are expecting an even larger turnout on January 29, which marks the auspicious occasion of Mauni Amavasya. The grand festival is scheduled to continue until February 26.
