Sobha Surendran To Lead BJP In Kerala?

The BJP guided by the RSS, is planning major organizational changes to address weakened structures across India. Focused especially on Kerala where it has no legislative seats the BJP has struggled with internal divisions. 

Factionalism surged under state president K. Surendran fragmenting into four competing groups which sidelined senior leaders and impacted performance in key events like the Palakkad byelection. To unify and rejuvenate the party the BJP plans a reshuffle, possibly advancing Sobha Surendran a prominent and controversial figure known for her strong oratory skills and effective campaigns. 

In the 2024 Lok Sabha elections Sobha significantly increased the National Democratic Alliance's (NDA) vote share in Alappuzha driving BJP's rise in coastal constituencies. Her consistent on-ground work has bolstered BJP’s presence in Kerala marking her as a crucial player in the state’s shifting political landscape.
