Is Indian Yoga Guru Not Really Aged 128?

A 116-year-old Japanese woman, Tomiko Itooka, is expected to be named the world's oldest person by Guinness World Records after the recent death of a 117-year-old Spanish woman, Maria Branyas Morera. Born on May 23, 1908, in Ashiya, Japan, Itooka is a mother of three and was an avid mountaineer in her 70s.

She famously climbed Japan’s 3,067-meter Mount Ontake twice, once in sneakers instead of hiking boots. Even at the age of 100, she walked up the stone steps of Ashiya Shrine without using a cane.

If this is the case, the Indian yoga guru Swami Sivananda, who received the Padma Shri a couple of years ago, is said to be 128 years old now. He is reported to have been born on August 8, 1896.

Why his age isn't taken into account as the world's oldest man is a big question. Is his age not accurate, or has he simply not been recognized yet?
