Death Threats For Supporting Him?

Two FIRs have been filed against BJP MLA Nitesh Rane for hate speech during an event supporting religious guru Ramgiri Maharaj. Rane defended his statements, claiming they were a reaction to threats received by those who support Maharaj. In a widely circulated video, Rane warned that anyone speaking against Ramgiri Maharaj would be met with violence inside their mosques.

Rane told ANI that his remarks were intended to show that the Hindu community should not be afraid, likening himself to "Hindu Gabbar Singh." This controversy follows allegations against Ramgiri Maharaj for making derogatory comments about Prophet Mohammad and Islam during a religious event in Nashik sparking protests and demands for his arrest from Muslim leaders across Maharashtra.

Despite the backlash Rane insisted there was nothing new in Ramgiri Maharaj's statements, claiming similar comments have been made by Muslim scholars. AIMIM spokesperson Waris Pathan has called for Rane's arrest, urging Maharashtra's chief minister and deputy to address the issue.
