BJP To Conquer Odisha In Coming Elections?

This time the BJP seems to be focusing on the state of Odisha. BJP leaders believe that the party which has been increasing its vote share in Odisha with each election, will also see an increase in seats this time.

In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections the BJP received 21.9 percent of the votes and in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections it increased to 38.4 percent.

The BJD won 20 Lok Sabha seats in the 2014 elections but was reduced to 12 seats by 2019, with 8 seats going to the BJP.

Currently, there are indications that BJD may hold only 4-5 Lok Sabha seats, while the BJP is confident of winning up to 15 seats.

Not only that but this time, the BJP is aiming to secure 131 seats in the Odisha assembly as well to form the saffron government, signaling its intention to challenge the BJD's dominance in Odisha!

If this happens, then it would be the end of another regional party.
