BJP Takes Action Against Ramesh Bidhuri

BJP leader Ramesh Bidhuri, who made headlines for his inappropriate comments about women leaders, is now facing disciplinary action from the party leadership. The BJP high command is reportedly considering removing him from the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections.

Bidhuri allegedly made objectionable remarks about Delhi Chief Minister Atishi and MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, which sparked a significant political uproar. Both the AAP and Congress launched nationwide protests condemning his comments. BJP National President JP Nadda has reportedly taken the issue seriously.

In response, the party is exploring options, including either dropping Bidhuri from the elections or changing his constituency. Reports suggest that two internal meetings have already taken place regarding this matter.

In BJP's recently released first candidate list, Bidhuri was fielded against CM Atishi from the Kalkaji constituency. However, during a public meeting, Bidhuri made controversial remarks against Atishi, leading to a backlash. Given the circumstances, the BJP believes that retaining Bidhuri as a candidate could harm the party's image.

The BJP is now considering replacing Bidhuri with a female candidate to contest against Atishi in Kalkaji. Party insiders have revealed that discussions are underway with Bidhuri regarding this decision. Despite being a prominent leader from the Gujjar community, the BJP seems determined to prioritize its larger political strategy over individual candidates.
