Bollywood actress Sara Ali Khan faced harsh criticism on social media for not crediting Pakistani fashion designer Iqbal Hussain for her outfit at Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant's wedding on July 12.
Sara wore a vibrant lehenga designed by Hussain and shared a video of herself in the outfit tagging her stylists, hair and makeup team and photographers but not the designer.
This omission upset Pakistani netizens who accused her of being unprofessional and unfair.
One user commented on her inconsistency in tagging designers and emphasized that the designer’s nationality should not matter.
Another criticized her reluctance to acknowledge Hussain's work while wearing his creation. Many urged Hussain to demand recognition.
He has yet to respond to the situation. While this is the case, why did Sara chose a Pakistani designer, is the doubt that many Indian netizens are expressing.
On the professional front Sara was recently seen in the OTT release 'Ae Watan Mere Watan' and 'Murder Mubarak' alongside Vijay Varma, Karisma Kapoor and others. Her next project is 'Metro...In Dino' with Aditya Roy Kapur.
