n the case where a miscreant attempted to attack Saif Ali Khan with a knife, a surprising turn of events saw Kareena Kapoor being dragged into the narrative. Some criticized Kareena for her lack of an appropriate response during the incident, while others spun baseless stories, alleging her involvement in the matter.
Former actress and Akshay Kumar's wife, Twinkle Khanna, strongly reacted to these baseless accusations. She called out the mindset that unfairly blames women in such situations, questioning the origins of this societal tendency to target wives in particular.
"When Saif was in the hospital, people commented that his wife wasn’t at home. Others went so far as to claim she was too intoxicated to help him during the attack. How can anyone arrive at such conclusions without evidence? People seem to enjoy shifting the blame onto women, particularly wives. It’s a trend that has been around for too long," Twinkle expressed.
She further drew parallels with the treatment faced by Anushka Sharma, Virat Kohli’s wife, who has been blamed for Kohli’s on-field performances. "If Kohli doesn’t score a century, why is Anushka targeted? How is that fair?" Twinkle questioned, urging people to stop targeting women for every issue.
Fingerprints Match or Not?
Meanwhile, the police have intensified their investigation into the case. Shariful Islam Shehzad, who has been arrested in connection with the attack, underwent a scene reconstruction at Saif's residence.
Claims that the fingerprints collected from the crime scene do not match Shehzad’s were dismissed by the police, who clarified that the forensic report has not yet been received.
Additionally, discrepancies in the CCTV footage, which allegedly shows a face that does not match Shehzad’s, are being examined. The police are now converting the footage into a 3D version and using advanced facial recognition technology for verification.
