Kangana Ranaut stars as former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in her upcoming film "Emergency." 

The film was initially set to release on September 6 but has been postponed due to a major controversy over its portrayal of the Sikh community. The controversy prompted the court to intervene highlighting concerns raised by the Sikh community about the film's content. The court has requested a prompt response from the Centre regarding the film's certification status delaying its release. 

The postponement reflects ongoing tensions and sensitivities related to the film's narrative and its depiction of historical events.
