Vivek Oberoi shared his views on Ajay Devgn’s statement about the lack of dominant men in Bollywood. He agreed that the industry now lacks commanding personalities like Amitabh Bachchan in the 70s or later stars like Sunny Deol, Ajay Devgn, and Sanjay Dutt, who owned the screen with their presence. Oberoi feels today’s younger actors lack the same aura of strength and confidence that captivated audiences in the past.
He also noted that Southern cinema is filling this void, with stars like Allu Arjun, Yash, and Prabhas bringing back the magnetic presence Bollywood currently misses. Their dominance has made them popular nationwide, including in the Hindi-speaking belt.
Oberoi emphasized that earlier male stars didn’t just act; they exuded an unmatched confidence and charisma. He highlighted the shift in Indian cinema dynamics, where Southern stars are stepping into roles that once defined Bollywood icons.
