Veteran actress Kasturi finds herself in legal trouble following controversial remarks that have led to police complaints. Currently, her Chennai residence in the upscale area of Poes Garden is locked, and her phone remains switched off, indicating that she may be avoiding authorities.

The controversy erupted when Kasturi commented that "300 years ago, Telugu people came to Tamil Nadu to serve the queens of the inner chambers, yet now claim themselves to be Tamil." This statement ignited outrage among the Telugu community. Realizing the backlash, Kasturi promptly held a press conference, attempting to redirect responsibility towards the DMK and justify her comments. However, the criticism only intensified, leading her to eventually issue an unconditional apology.

Kasturi may have hoped her apology would ease tensions, but complaints were filed against her at police stations in Egmore, T. Nagar, and other regions, including Madurai. When police officers went to serve her with notices at her residence, they found it locked, with no indication of her whereabouts.
