Twinkle Khanna, in her recent Times of India column, criticized the recurring trend of blaming women, particularly wives, for men’s problems. She cited examples, such as Anushka Sharma being blamed when Virat Kohli gets out, and Yoko Ono for The Beatles' split.
Twinkle also addressed absurd rumors about Kareena Kapoor Khan after Saif Ali Khan was stabbed by an intruder at their home, calling them baseless and part of the same wife-blaming pattern.
Sharing personal experiences, Twinkle highlighted how she’s questioned about political differences with her husband, Akshay Kumar, as though he were a child under her influence. She humorously dismissed the notion of being a "star wife."
Twinkle also expressed the growing vulnerability in homes post-Saif’s attack on January 16, which left him injured and hospitalized for five days. Her article shed light on societal biases and the unjust scrutiny faced by women in public and private life.
