Telangana: Dangerous Fans Of Jr NTR Vandalise Theatre

Devara: Part 1 starring Jr NTR, Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor released on September 27 to much fanfare with fans celebrating outside theatres across India. However at Venkateshwara Theatre in a town in Telangana, a delay in screening led to chaos. 

Fans frustrated by technical issues vandalized the theatre breaking glass windows and damaging furniture. Several people were injured during the disturbance prompting police intervention to restore order. After the technical issue was resolved the screening resumed and the theatre management issued an apology to the audience. Directed by Koratala Siva, Devara opened to mixed reviews from critics and audiences. The film featuring Jr NTR in a double role also marks the Telugu debut of Saif and Janhvi. 

Set against coastal lands it includes a highly anticipated water action sequence. The movie will be released in two parts though no update on the second part has been provided yet.
