Tamannah Faced Backlash For Sexualizing Radha

Actress Tamannaah Bhatia faced heavy criticism after sharing photos from a Radha-Krishna themed shoot by a renowned fashion label. Netizens accused her and the label of "sexualizing" Radha leading to a backlash. In response Tamannaah has since deleted the photos.

The controversy began when Tamannaah appeared in designer Karan Torani's campaign "Leela: The Divine Illusion of Love," depicting different stages of love between Radha and Krishna. While her portrayal initially impressed many a section of social media quickly launched a campaign accusing the shoot of disrespecting the sacred relationship.

One user called out the actress and brand, demanding they stop "sexualizing" Radha and Krishna. Amid rising online outrage both Tamannaah and Torani deleted the content from their platforms and the brand has restricted comments on Instagram.

Tamannaah has not yet commented on the controversy. Recently she made a special appearance in Stree 2 and featured in the film Vedaa with John Abraham.
